From Our Hearts

Here in New York City, the pandemic has given some of us a hint of what it feels like to feel unsafe in your own neighborhood or home. It’s made us reflect on our privilege that allows us to feel safe in our everyday lives, from routine traffic stops to asking law enforcement a question or simply going on a walk or a jog without being perceived as a threat. Our hearts go out to the mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, and communities impacted by police violence and racism in any form.
Every single person should feel safety for themselves and their families every single day. The fact is, this is not the case for Black and brown communities. We think that’s wrong. We all must do better. #BlackLivesMatter
